Well, it’s official: 2021 is in the rear view mirror, and 2022 is officially here. Are you setting some goals for the coming year? If so, your pet will be your biggest supporter as you strive to make those goals. Of course, your canine pal also has a few things on his own doggy to-do list for 2022. A local Raleigh, NC vet lists some of the things on Fido’s agenda below.
Catch That Squirrel
You can’t really blame Fido for being slightly obsessed with squirrels. Man’s Best Friend has been hunting them for thousands of years! Take your furry buddy on some new trails this year, so he can be taunted by unfamiliar squirrels.
Get My Bed Back From The Cat
Unfortunately, this one may not be possible. (Sorry, buddy.) You may want to consider getting Fido another bed. It’s always good to have choices!
More Belly Rubs
Fido really is adorable, and he is never cuter than when he’s angling for affection. Help your faithful friend meet this important doggy goal! Pay lots of attention to Fido this year, and keep that tail going.
Adventures
Our canine companions have a very healthy sense of adventure. Fido may really enjoy exploring new places. Visit some dog parks over the next few months. This is also a great way for you to get outdoors and enjoy some fresh air and sunlight!
Bacon
This one is pretty self-explanatory. Keep that old adage about too much of a good thing in mind, though. Bacon is fine in small amounts, but you don’t want to go overboard . . . no matter how adorable Fido’s sad-puppy stare is. For the most part, you should stick with healthier options.
Be A Good Boy
One of the best things about dogs is the fact that they really do try to please their owners. Fido looks adorably proud of himself when he’s getting praised for being a good boy! Be sure to compliment and reward your four-legged friend when he’s behaving.
Spend Time With The Human
You’re the apple of Fido’s eye, and the center of his world. Your furry bff really just wants to hang out with you. Carve out some time for your cute pet every day. It will be good for both of you!
